Mr. Onono is a trained in the field of Environmental and Analytical Chemistry with further trainings and wealth of experience in Project Management, Monitoring Evaluation & Learning tools, HIV/AIDS care and counselling, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Fire safety training & basic First Aid, Introduction to Research Ethics, Research Ethics Evaluation, Informed Consent, computer packages, Statistical Packages for Social Sciences, (SPSS) and Software for Statistics and Data Science (STATA). He has worked in several organizations on community and social development such as GiveDirect, Innovations for poverty Action – Kenya, IPA-Kenya, IDinsight, Research Triangle Institute, RTI, United States Agency for International Development, USAID, Save the Children, Keep Child Alive among other organizations and a lecturer and research scientist in local universities in Kenya. He is currently the Project Director at Grassroots AgriFood ventures (GAV) and founder of Village Transformation Network – Kenya CBO, organizations that work with the youth, women and other vulnerable community members to create an impact in improving lives and live hoods in the rural Kenya communities. Mr. Onono holds Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry and Master of Science degree in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry both from Jomo Kenyatta University of agriculture and technology, J.K.U.A.T and is currently pursuing Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science at Maseno University.
