Amb. Mohamednur Mamo is a passionate environmentalist and humanitarian with a background in promoting sustainable development goals agenda. With a degree in International Relations and years of experience in conservation, Climate resilience and adoption strategies and Climate-Peace integrations, he is dedicated to protecting our planet's natural beauty. He is also a youth leader in creating awareness on SDGs and environmental issues, aiming to raise awareness and inspire positive change. He's the founder and Director of Young Africans for Peace and Development (YAPAD). YAPAD is local non-profits youth led NGO registered and operating in Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. Through his efforts, YAPAD managed to engage International and local partners, CSOs, Governments and well-wishers in several climate and peace related projects in Mandera, Marsabit and Nairobi counties. When he is not working on conservation projects, you can find him working on peace and youth and women empowerment or advocating for green initiatives in his local community. Mohamednur Mamo has achieved allot, having undertaken to implement over 13 humanitarian life impacting projects so far, he have received several awards, recognitions and publications for his dedications towards Peace and cohesions both locally and internationally.
