Albert Mwangeka is a dedicated Climate Communications expert with a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to making a positive impact, he has been recognized for his contributions as an award-winning journalist.Albert's notable achievements include his role as the editorial and digital manager of The Economic Grid, a global business magazine.

Albert's journey towards becoming a leading voice in climate communications has been shaped by his participation in prestigious fellowships, including the Thomson Reuters Fellowship and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Fellowship. With a Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, and communications from Moi University, Albert has had the privilege of learning from industry leaders and gaining valuable experience in global reporting. He has participated in esteemed fellowships with organizations such as the International Republican Institute, World Federation of Science Journalists, Internews, International Centre for Journalists, European Journalism Centre, Thomson Reuters, and Bloomberg.

Currently, Albert manages a tree-growing campaign at the County Government of Taita Taveta, with the ambitious goal of rehabilitating 360,000 hectares of degraded land. He is co-authoring Taita Taveta's Forest Landscape Restoration Implementation Plan (FOLAREP). Among other roles, he has served as the Principal Communication Officer at the County Government of Taita Taveta, Editor-In-Chief at the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Climate Change Communications Lead at the County Government of Taita Taveta, and Media Relations/Writer at the Executive Office of the President, National Government Communications Center.
