Gabriel Dinda is the Founder of Writers Guild Kenya, a Centre for readers & writers working to encourage general reading and Writing culture in Kenya. He has worked to publish 54 first time authors and championed the creating of 16 functional book clubs in a period of 8 years. In 2018, he was awarded as the 1st Runner’s Up in the Writing and Research Category in Utumishi Bora Awards. He is the author of Questions of my Youth (2019), Guide to Self-Publishing (2018), Youth Unemployment in Kenya, a Ticking Time Bomb (Co-authored, 2016). He believes that reading in our communities is one certain way to bring joy & nurture thinkers. Through Writers Guild-Kenya, he hopes to mentor, support and encourage potential authors, published authors and advocate for reading & writing policies in different institutions. Gabriel is a lecturer of Applied Philosophy and Ethics.
