Glory Msenya is an accomplished educator, dedicated environmentalist, and ardent advocate for youth empowerment. With a career spanning over two decades in education, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to shaping young minds and nurturing future leaders. Her passion for environmental conservation and climate change issues has further enriched her professional journey, making her a prominent figure in education and sustainability. Glory’s dedication to environmental causes, particularly climate change, has driven her life. She believes that education is a powerful tool for effecting positive change, and she has integrated environmental awareness into the curriculum, inspiring students to become eco-conscious citizens. Further, she leads efforts to establish school-wide recycling initiatives, organize tree-planting campaigns, and facilitate discussions on climate change impacts, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a sustainable mindset among students and colleagues. Beyond her role in education, Glory is an avid advocate for youth engagement in creating tangible solutions for pressing issues. For five years, she served as the African coordinator of a tripartite Connecting Classrooms education programme delivered by the British Council in partnership with UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The program brought together students from Scotland, Kenya, and South Sudan with the aims to help them develop the knowledge, skills and value they need for life and work in the global economy, with a specific focus on climate. Glory’s dedication to community service is a testament to her unwavering commitment to social change anchored on a holistically systemic approach to education, environmental restoration, and youth empowerment. Her volunteering experiences include being a Youth counsellor and teacher in different Churches, HIV/AIDs and Anti-FGM campaigns, youth mentorship programs, and parenting and supporting vulnerable and special needs student and youth initiatives across Kenya and Tanzania.
